Gate.io offers token rewards to users who invite friends to join its Reddit forum

Gate.io is pushing to grow its Reddit presence with a short-term invite contest that doles out token rewards to 10 randomly selected winners. The campaign runs from July 9, 04:00 UTC through July 17, 16:00 UTC – just over a week for users to bring friends into the exchange’s official subreddit.

The mechanics are straightforward. Participants must first be members of the Gate Exchange Reddit community. They then need to invite at least one Reddit friend to join the same community. That invited friend must also leave at least one comment or create one original post during the event window. After that, the original participant posts a new thread in the Gate subreddit that includes both usernames and the hashtag #GateRedditInvite.

A sample post reads: “I invited u/CryptoUser to join the Gate Reddit community! Looking forward to discussing BTC, market trends, and trading opportunities together! #GateRedditInvite.”

Rewards range from $6 to $10 in token form. Only 10 participants will win, chosen by a random draw from all eligible entrants after the event ends. Gate says it will review submissions and disqualify any that appear to come from duplicate, bot, fake, or spam accounts.

The exchange is betting that a modest token reward can accelerate community growth on a platform where crypto discussion is already dense. Reddit remains a key channel for exchanges to engage retail traders, and Gate joins competitors who have run similar engagement campaigns there.

Fraudulent participation is explicitly banned, and Gate reserves the right to disqualify any submissions it deems invalid. The event closes July 17 at 16:00 UTC – the deadline for both posts and friend activity. Winners should watch for announcements from the exchange’s official Reddit account after the draw.
