IREN stock jumps 16% as AI cloud revenue target tops $4B

IRN increased 16% after raising its AI cloud revenue target beyond $4 billion following $2.8 billion in new contracts with AI developers. This reflects strong demand for Bitcoin mining-related AI services.
IREN rose 16% after the Bitcoin miner said it now expects its AI cloud business to generate more than $4 billion in revenue by year-end.

The company also said it has signed $2.8 billion in new contracts with AI developers. That fresh business gives investors a more concrete measure of how quickly IREN is building a second line of revenue beyond Bitcoin mining.

For a stock tied closely to crypto prices and mining economics, the move points to a market that is starting to value the company on more than just block rewards. AI cloud services have become a major theme for miners with spare power and data center capacity, and IREN has been among the names trying to turn that infrastructure into recurring sales.

The new target is a sharp step up from the company’s earlier outlook, and it puts the spotlight on execution. Investors will now be watching whether IREN can deliver those contracts on schedule and keep adding customers fast enough to support the higher forecast.

That matters because the company is still operating in a sector where Bitcoin price swings, energy costs and hardware spending can move margins quickly. A stronger AI contract book can cushion some of that volatility, but it also raises the bar for growth and delivery.

The next test is the company’s follow-up update on contract fulfillment and revenue recognition. Traders will be looking to see whether IREN can keep converting those deals into actual sales before the year ends.
