Morgan Stanley Investment Management has listed two spot exchange-traded products tied to Ethereum and Solana, widening its crypto lineup beyond Bitcoin.
The Morgan Stanley Ethereum Trust, ticker MSSE, and the Morgan Stanley Solana Trust, ticker MSOL, began trading on NYSE Arca on July 28, the firm said. Both products track the price moves of ETH and SOL, the native tokens of the Ethereum and Solana blockchains.
The launch extends a push that started earlier this year, when Morgan Stanley introduced the Morgan Stanley Bitcoin Trust under the ticker MSBT. That product was the first crypto ETP from an asset manager affiliated with a US bank, and it had more than $381 million in assets under management as of July 16.
For traders, the new listings add two more regulated wrappers around major digital assets at a time when issuers are still trying to capture demand for crypto exposure in familiar exchange-traded form. Ethereum remains the second-largest cryptocurrency by market value, while Solana has held a spot among the most actively traded large-cap tokens.
Morgan Stanley said the expansion is part of a broader effort to round out its product range and meet investor demand. The fresh tickers also give the market a clearer read on whether the firm can repeat the early traction it saw with Bitcoin.
The next thing to watch is simple: whether MSSE and MSOL attract assets quickly after listing, and whether the firm follows with more crypto-linked products. For now, Morgan Stanley has put its name on spot Ethereum and Solana exposure, not just Bitcoin.
Morgan Stanley lists Ethereum and Solana products, widening crypto access beyond Bitcoin
Morgan Stanley Investment Management began trading products that track Ethereum (ETH) and Solana (SOL) on NYSE Arca, giving investors regulated exchange-traded access to both cryptocurrencies. The listings expand the firm’s crypto range beyond its Bitcoin product and will show whether investors put money into the new products.
