Pons, the token launchpad built on Robinhood Chain, has revealed a V2 upgrade plan that adds an ETH-based bonding curve, direct Uniswap V4 integration, and creator payouts in ETH. The update also brings support for tokenized real-world asset trading pairs.
The move intensifies the already heated competition among Robinhood Chain launchpads. Pons is positioning itself as a more capital-efficient alternative by linking token launches directly to Uniswap V4’s hooks, which allow custom liquidity logic. The bonding curve – a pricing mechanism that adjusts token price based on supply – will now be denominated in ETH instead of a native token, a change the team says reduces friction for creators.
Creator payouts in ETH replace the previous reliance on a separate reward token. That shift could appeal to project teams who want immediate, liquid returns without holding an illiquid platform coin. The addition of tokenized RWA trading pairs indicates that Pons is targeting institutional use cases, though the launchpad remains focused on early-stage token sales.
Uniswap V4 integration is the technical centerpiece. By deploying pools via Uniswap V4’s singleton architecture, Pons can manage multiple liquidity pools from one contract, lowering gas costs and enabling more complex order types. The upgrade also lets projects set custom fee tiers and dynamic fees that adjust with volatility – features that have drawn attention from DeFi traders.
Robinhood Chain’s launchpad ecosystem has been fragmented this year, with several platforms vying for market share after the chain’s user base expanded. Pons V2 is the first major upgrade from a notable launchpad to explicitly tie token issuance to Uniswap V4’s infrastructure.
The team has not yet announced a specific launch date for V2, but the plan is open for community feedback. Traders should watch for the deployment of testnet contracts and the timing of the transition – legacy pools may need to migrate, which could create short-term liquidity gaps.
